DAVIESS CO. – The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation is accepting scholarship applications for medical students.
The DCH Foundation makes scholarship awards available through two scholarship programs.
Only one application is required to be eligible for both scholarship programs. Applicants must live in Daviess, Martin, or Pike County or is a dependent of a Daviess Community Hospital full or part-time employee, regardless of residence.
Full and part-time students are eligible.
Scholarship funds may be used to cover tuition, books, room and board, uniforms, and other reasonable expenses. Funds are paid directly to the educational institution.
The Health Careers Scholarship Program awards $1,500 to each scholarship recipient selected and the Helen Arthur Memorial Scholarship awards a $500 scholarship to a student pursuing a nursing degree.
The Helen Arthur Memorial Scholarship Award honors Helen Arthur, a Daviess County resident who was unable to fulfill her desire to become a nurse after contracting tuberculosis.
