Hibbs has served in that capacity for the last 6 years and has led the park in creating new programs and making several improvements to the facilities.

“I’m very proud of the accomplishments we have made. We have put together one of the best teams of employees we could ask for, who are dedicated to continuing to take this park to the next level. We also have some of the best and most dedicated users and fans of West Boggs Park,” added Hibbs. “We have been able to turn this park around and create a pathway for the continual growth of this park and facility to adequately serve our communities and guests. I have no doubt that we will leave the park in capable hands that will continue this forward momentum with sound and capable community leadership.”

Hibbs will remain at the park through the process of finding a qualified individual to take the reins of the department.

“This decision was not an easy one to make as I have certainly grown to love serving this community and being alongside the leaders that really pull together to make this area thrive. I know I can speak for my family when I say we will miss this place and those that have supported us throughout these years. I want to tell everyone thanks for everything, and I know this park will continue to grow! I ask that you continually support West Boggs Park and come out to enjoy it! Thanks for all the fun,” said Hibbs in a Facebook post.
