BEDFORD – The Bedford Parks Department is hosting a softball event to raise money for Riley Hospital for Children.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, August 28th. The event is sponsored by Gillespie’s 1st Place Trophies.
The entry fee is $200 for both men and women teams. Homeruns are limited to two per team per game. Two players can purchase homerun bracelets for $20 for unlimited home runs during the game.
All proceeds will benefit Riley Hospital for Children.
Players will hit their own USA-approved 53-300 softballs. USA bat rules apply and bats will be checked before the games.
The deadline to register is August 25th at 4 p.m. Call the Parks Department at 812-275-5692 to register your team.
A homerun derby will be held at 1 p.m. and cost $20 per person to enter.
