BEDFORD – The Women’s Expo took place last Saturday and was a great time to explore products and services from businesses both near and far. The first one hundred attendees received a Women’s Expo Swag Bag filled with several sample items, coupons and more. The attendees look forward to get the swag bag full of goodies and to see the new design, as it changes year after year.
There were several new vendors who attended this year’s expo among the more than 60 vendors. A few of the new vendors to the Women’s Expo this year included Looped, Cutco Cutlery, KBH Creative Events, Hoosier Power Wash, Dream Destinations Travel Agency, Jax + Ash Boutique, Good Vibes, C2C Escapes Travel and The Law Office of Alex Robbins.
“It is awesome to see this many women come out and all in one place, especially after COVID,” said Evie Phelps, of Evie’s Craft Room.
After a long panedemic year and after attending past Women’s Expos, this year’s event the vendors were eager to particpate and take part in all the fun. The traditional event generally occurs in March, but was pushed back to July, in hopes Covid -19 regulations would ease and a vaccine would be available to allow for a safe event. “I got to visit last year and decorate a couple of booths. I saw how amazing this event really is and decided I wanted to be part of it this year,” said Terri Horne who is representing Horne Financial Coaching, and Networking Today International Bedford.
Amanda Birkhimer with Celebrate The Home in French Lick, set up a booth at this year’s Women’s Expo.
“This is my first year at the Expo, we are a new business. We just opened up in November of last year and we are just wanting to get the word out. This is a great atmosphere, something we wanted to do. We love working with our return customers and the things they are looking for in home decor or whatever it may be,” said Birkimer.
“I love to come every year, I find all the shops interesting to look at. I go to Fit Chix because I actually use the gym and am getting ready to buy some 812 BBQ,” said Saraya Lyons of Mitchell Indiana who is a regular attendee of the Women’s Expo.
“We just love to look. We enjoy the Expo, it is great just to get out and enjoy events especially after COVID,” said Leann Daniels who brought her grandson Roscoe to the event.
The Lady Luck Bucks drawings are one of the many favorites among the attendees. Winners receive $50 to spend with any of the vendors on site at the Women’s Expo. Several winners were awarded throughout the event with give aways every half hour starting at 10:30am and concluding with the 2:30pm drawing.
The parking lot and spaces were packed all day. This event was a success with a variety of vendors from different markets, providing attendees with great shopping, food and fun. But more importatly it was great event to just enjoy spending time with friends and family.
