BEDFORD – Four people were injured in a traffic accident in the 900 block of Vinegar Hill Road Tuesday night.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department received a report of the accident at 8:28 p.m.
According to an accident report, a Springville juvenile was traveling westbound on Vinegar Hill Road in his 2019 Jeep Wrangler at a high rate of speed going off the roadway into a nearby creek.
Along with the driver, three other passengers were injured in the accident and a second ambulance was requested to the scene.
All four had to be extricated from the vehicle.
A front-seat passenger had to be airlifted to the Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, Bedford Fire Department, Seals Ambulance, IU Health Ambulance, and Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.
