MITCHELL – A Mitchell man was arrest on charges of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident on Friday.
Danny J. Garland, age 29, Mitchell, was arrested by Mitchell Police after a traffic accident that occurred near the Marathon Station on State Road 37 in Mitchell.
A witness followed Garland from the accident scene to Persimmon Park Apartments. The witness told police she watched the accident take place in its entirety and took a video of the vehicle driving away from the accident.
According to Garland he was drinking and admitted leaving the scene of the accident to the police. Garland was also driving on a suspended driver’s license.
Garland was taken to Lawrence County Jail. An accident report is not yet available from the Mitchell Police Department.
