Gov. Holcomb makes appointments to various boards and commissions

INDIANA — Governor Eric J. Holcomb Monday announced several appointments to various state boards and commissions.

Board of Trustees of Ball State University

The governor made one reappointment to the board, who will serve until December 31, 2024:

  • Brian Gallagher (Chevy Chase, MD), representing alumni of Ball State University.

The governor also made one new appointment to the board, who will serve until June 30, 2023:

  • Amy Wyse (Elkhart), who will serve as the student member of the board.

Board of Trustees of Indiana State University

The governor made one reappointment to the board, who will serve until June 30, 2025:

  • Cynthia Powers (Valparaiso), representing alumni of Indiana State University.

The governor also made three new appointments to the board:

  • Kimberly Collins (Terre Haute), who will serve as the student member of the board until June 30, 2023.
  • John Pratt (Rockville), Parke County farmer and president of the Parke County Council, who will serve until June 30, 2025.
  • Troy Woodruff (Fishers), president/CEO of RQAW and principal of BW Construction, who will serve until June 30, 2025.

Board of Trustees of Indiana University

The governor made one new appointment to the board, who will serve until July 1, 2023:

  • Kelsey Binion (Fishers), who will serve as the student member of the board.

Board of Trustees of Ivy Tech Community College

The governor made five reappointments to the board, who will serve until June 30, 2024:

  • Stephanie Bibbs (Anderson), chief of the criminal charging division at the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office
  • Harold Hunt (Madison), president and founder of SuperATV
  • Stewart McMillan (Valparaiso), president and CEO of Task Force Tips, Inc.
  • Kim O’Dell (Brazil), managing broker at Emmert Realty
  • Kerry Stemler (Louisville, Kentucky), owner and CEO of KM Stemler Co., Inc.

Board of Trustees of Purdue University

The governor made three reappointments to the board, who will serve until July 1, 2024:

  • Michael Berghoff (Indianapolis), founder and president of Lenex Steel Corporation
  • JoAnn Brouillette (West Lafayette), managing partner and president of Demeter LP
  • Vanessa Castagna (Naples, Florida), representing alumni of Purdue University.

The governor also made one new appointment to the board, who will serve until July 1, 2023:

  • Mark Gee, Jr. (West Lafayette), who will serve as the student member of the board.

Board of Trustees of the University of Southern Indiana

The governor made one new appointment to the board, who will serve until June 30, 2023:

  • Liam Collins (Lowell), who will serve as the student member of the board.

Indiana Election Commission

The governor made one reappointment to the commission, who will serve until June 30, 2023 and will continue as the commission’s chair:

  • Paul Okeson (Indianapolis), executive vice president of Garmong Construction Services

The governor also made one new appointment to the commission, who will serve until June 30, 2023:

  • Karen Celestino-Horseman (Indianapolis), attorney with the Law Office of Karen Celestino-Horseman

The governor also designated Suzannah Wilson Overholt (Indianapolis) as vice-chair of the commission.

Northeast Indiana Strategic Development Commission

The governor made three appointments to the new commission, who will serve until June 30, 2023:

  • Andrew Briggs (Geneva), retired CEO of Bank of Geneva
  • Ron Turpin (Fort Wayne), CFO and head of Civic Engagement at Ambassador Enterprises, LLC
  • Michael Vanover (Keystone), CEO of Clean Fuels National, and a Wells County Commissioner

Twenty-First Century Energy Policy Development Task Force

The governor made three appointments to the new task force, who will serve until July 1, 2023:

  • Kay Pashos (Indianapolis), partner at IceMiller legal counsel
  • Peter Schubert (Carmel), director of the Richard G. Lugar Center for Renewable Energy and professor of ECE at IUPUI
  • Donna Walker (Bloomington), president and CEO of Hoosier Energy Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc.
