Nine residents at Becky’s Place find permanent housing

BEDFORD – According to a quarterly report from Becky’s Place, a shelter for woman and their children, nine women and their children have successfully secured permanent housing and have moved out of the facility.

During this quarter, 26 women and 13 children found shelter at Becky’s Place.

According to officials 10 of the 13 residents currently living at the shelter have found employment.

Becky’s Place also serves as an unofficial call center for the community, answering two to three calls every day from women – and men – seeking resources for a myriad of challenges. 

Staff and residents continue to follow CDC safety guidelines regarding COVID-19.

The shelter is in need of donations. Since it is yard sale season please keep the facility in mind if you find any outside/lawn items such as lawn chairs, tables, sprinklers for the kids to play in, gardening tools, etc. They also have a wish list posted on Amazon.

Other needs include:

  • Bleach-gallon size
  • Zip lock bags
  • Bathroom cleaner
  • Paper towels
  • Garbage bags
  • Carpet cleaner solution
  • Dish soap
