INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana Department of Revenue (DOR) has once again earned a place as one of IndyStar’s Top Workplaces, a prestigious award based solely on a voluntary and anonymous survey of DOR employees measuring several aspects of leadership, communication, employee engagement, and workplace culture.
“Throughout a year that included challenges we could have never expected, the entire DOR team lived our core values and focused on our team – maintaining positive connections, finding new ways to communicate and collaborate, and engaging through creative online activities,” said DOR Commissioner Bob Grennes. “Our team is both honored and proud to win this award for a third straight year.”
DOR moved up to 6th in IndyStar’s Large Company Top Workplaces category (400+ employees). DOR has been recognized as a Top Workplace by the IndyStar since 2019—making DOR the first Indiana state agency to ever receive this employee-driven award.
In January, the agency was also recognized at the national level for the inaugural 2021 Top Workplace USA award.
DOR is comprised of over 650 dedicated team members who skillfully operate all tax administration functions that process over $21 billion annually from 65 active tax types. Eighty-five percent of DOR employees voluntarily completed the engagement survey administered by Energage™ which included questions in areas of organizational commitment, communication, motivation and leadership.
