Protecting in-person worship

INDIANA – A new state law protects Hoosiers’ right to gather for religious worship services during future public emergencies.

State Reps. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle) and Peggy Mayfield (R-Martinsville) explain how prohibiting in-person worship services early in the pandemic negatively impacted Hoosiers and that the new law classifies religious gatherings and other services such as food pantries and daycare as essential.
