BEDFORD – Two men were arrested after a Bedford Police officer stopped the vehicle they were in Saturday for making an improper turn from O Street onto 16th Street at 3:58 p.m.
The driver of the gold Buick was stopped at 16th and N streets.

Police learned the driver 29-year-old Randall Apple, of Orleans, was driving on a suspended driver’s license but his passenger 38-year-old Michael Cole, of Camelsburg, did have a valid license.

Officers then learned Cole was wanted on a warrant in Scott County and he was detained.
Apple then allowed officers to search his vehicle and admitted he had meth in his pocket.
In Apple’s pocket an officer located a Crown Royal bag that contained a glass smoking device with meth residue in it.
Apple was arrested on charges of possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
