OOLITIC – John Dillion, hearing officer for abandoned buildings for the Town of Oolitic, reports he has met with Tim Stark, owner of the Oolitic School North Building.
The owner and Town of Oolitic have agreed to ask Indiana Landmarks to provide a structural engineer to evaluate the integrity of the building and whether the building will be able to be saved and the estimated costs to restore the building.
The cost of the evaluation will cost $4,000 to $5,000 and the property owner would like to have help with paying the bill.
After the evaluation of the building, Town of Oolitic officials will determine the next step of action.
