Bedford Housing Authority Board of Commissioner welcomes Robyn Bridges

BEDFORD – The Bedford Housing Authority welcomes Robyn Bridges to the Board of Commissioners. She will serve as a resident member of the board.

Bridges has lived in Bedford all of her life and has called the Hauck House her home for the last six years. Bridges take Tiffany Todd’s position on the board, who moved from a resident member to a regular board member.

Todd will fill the vacancy of long-time board member Myra Shipman whose term expired last December.

The board of commissioners is now fully staffed.

During the meeting several contracts were approved for various services.

The board voted to hire German American Bank to manage the credit card payment process.

Two bidders applied to supply the Hauck House with a coin-operated washer and dryer. The contract was awarded to JETZ. With this contract, the Housing Authority will share the profit which is estimated at around $700 a month.

Three bidders applied for the elevator servicing contract at the Hauck House. The contract was awarded to Mid-American at $4,013.

Waste removal services will be performed by B&D Waste Removal who submitted the lowest bid at $1,365 a month.
