GREENE CO. – At 11:25 a.m. Friday Center Jackson Fire Territory was dispatched to 1265 North Shea Estates after a report of a structure fire.
The first firefighters on the scene reported flames showing from a detached garage.

Fire crews deployed a 1 3/4” initial attack line and hit the building from the exterior where the fire had self vented above a door
As the second engine company arrived on the scene they made their initial attack entry through a walk-in door.
The fire was extinguished and marked under control at 11:49 a.m.. Crews remained on the scene for approximately an hour for clean-up.

The fire is still believed to be electrical in nature, however remains under investigation.
Firefighters from the Monroe Fire Protection District also assisted at the scene.
