BEDFORD – Two people were arrested early this morning on drug charges after a Bedford Police officer stopped the vehicle they were in at 1:48 a.m. in the area of 22nd Street and Washington Avenue.

Driving the vehicle was 19-year-old Dylan Lagle and the front seat passenger was 32 year-old Jessica Hackney.

Officers knew Hackney was wanted on a warrant and she was detained.
While searching Hackney, officers found a smoking device that contained THC wax in her sweatshirt pocket.Â
Police say Lagle was shaky and had a hard time answering simple questions.
Lagle gave officers consent to search the vehicle.
Officers found a clear plastic bag containing a powder-like residue that tested positive for heroin, a digital scale with crystal meth residue, a metallic cap with THC wax residue, and a black cloth bag containing a syringe and two plastic bags containing a powder-like residue.
Both Hackney and Lagle were arrested.
Hackney faces charges of possession of a narcotic drug, possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of marijuana, wanted on a warrant for petition to revoke.
Lagle faces charges of possession of a narcotic drug, unlawful possession of a syringe, and possession of meth.
Both denied ownership of the items located by officers.
