Bedford Redevelopment Commission agrees to pay the invoice for legal advice

BEDFORD – In their meeting, Monday afternoon the Bedford Redevelopment Commission agreed to pay a $429 invoice for legal advice in regards to purchasing water meters.

The firm of Barnes & Thornburg was asked if Tax Incremental Funds could be used to purchase water meters. Mayor Sam Craig has written correspondences to Branes & Thornburg on the matter.

Barnes and Thornburg advised the commission that TIF funds could not be used for that purpose because the meters being replaced were outside the designated TIF districts.

Monday evening, Mayor Craig was not able to provide the number of meters being replaced.

There was no other business addressed during the meeting.
