MITCHELL – Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department received a call from a female reporting she was lost while mushroom hunting Friday afternoon.
The call came in at 1:53 p.m. to Lawrence County Central Dispatch from the woman stated she was lost in the area along the railroad tracks in the 1300 block of Pumphouse Road.
Deputies and firefighters from the Marion Township Volunteer Fire Department searched the area for the woman.
Marion Township Firefighters used a ATV vehicle in the search and came upon the woman within five minutes of starting the search.
The woman hugged and thanked firefighters for finding her so quickly.
There were no injuries reported.
