OTWELL – The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced lane restrictions that will take effect today.
Crews will be installing a culvert pipe liner on State Road 257 between Otwell and Velpen.
Officials say the liner will extend the life of the structure.
Starting Monday, only one lane will be open on S.R. 257 between East Division Street and East County Road 50 East.
Work will only take place during daytime hours with traffic controlled by flagging crews.
Construction is expected to be completed near the end of May depending upon weather conditions.
INDOT urges drivers to stay alert and slow down while traveling through the area.
