Bedford man arrested on heroin and other drug charges

BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested Friday after a Bedford Police officer saw him get out of a silver Audi at Circle K and knew he was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear.

Police arrested 29-year-old Joshua Moen on the outstanding warrant.

In his pockets, police found a baggie containing heroin and a metal tin containing 4 pills alprazolam pills. In his vehicle police found two syringes in a backpack and a plastic baggie of marijuana and a metal grinder.

Moen was then arrested on charges of possession of a narcotic drug in the presence of a minor, possession of a controlled substance in the presence of a minor, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and a warrant for failure to appear.

Moen was with his girlfriend’s 10-year-old son. Police contacted the boy’s mother and she picked up her son.

The Department of Child Services was alerted.
