WASHINGTON, D.C. – Chairman of the Republican Study Committee Jim Banks (IN-03) and RSC member Rep. Tony Gonzales (TX-23) will lead a congressional delegation of eight RSC members on Thursday, April 8th to witness the sprawling humanitarian crisis happening on our southern border due to Joe Biden’s cruel and ineffective border policies.
“The scenes on the southern border are a national embarrassment. It is our duty to confront the Biden administration for creating this crisis and hold them accountable for all the many people they’re hurting through open borders policies,” said RSC Chairman Jim Banks. “I look forward to returning from this trip with recommendations for how we can fix Biden’s Border Crisis.”
The trip will include meetings with local law enforcement, border patrol leadership, and a visit to the Eagle Pass DHS detention facility.
The following members will accompany Congressmen Gonzales and Banks on the trip: Kelly Armstrong (ND-AL), Kevin Hern (OK-01), Ashley Hinson (IA-01), Chris Jacobs (NY-27), Lloyd Smucker (PA-11), and Victoria Spartz (IN-05).
