
BLOOMINGTON – The Monroe County Community School Corporation (MCCSC)-Initiatives for Equity and Inclusion invites the public to attend their Community Conversation on Building Inclusive Environment: Supporting LGBTQ+ Students
Officials say, Community Conversations are a great way to increase our cultural understanding and expand our knowledge, and interests about the diverse communities that we serve.
The Community Conversation on Supporting LGBTQ+ students is scheduled for Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. via Zoom.
Featured panelist includes:
- Jenifer L. Berry, Academic Advisor for Indiana University and Advisor for Black & Bold
- Greg Chaffin Bloomington High School North Guidance Counselor
- Will Sellers Jackson Creek Middle School Teacher and LGBTQ+ Allies Club Group
- Surja Uttamchandani from the Center for Research Learning & Technology, Indiana University, Adult Facilitator Prism Youth Community.
Facilitators include Dejaye Harris of IU School of Education and Preventionist MCCSC and Rafi-Khalid Hasan of Equity & Inclusion Coordinator MCCSC.
