Terre Haute woman arrested on drug charges

VIGO CO. – At approximately 6:45 p.m., on Easter Sunday, an Indiana State Trooper was patrolling near US 41 and Johnson Drive, when he stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.

The driver was identified as 39-year-old Tessa Cooprider, of Terre Haute. A driver’s license check revealed Cooprider was driving on a suspended driver’s license. 

Suspicious activity was detected, and a consent search of the vehicle was conducted. During the search of Cooprider’s vehicle, the trooper found marijuana vape pens, drug paraphernalia, digital scales, plastic baggies, two hypodermic needles, and methamphetamine. 

Cooprider was arrested on charges of dealing meth, unlawful possession of a syringe, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of meth, driving while driver’s license suspended, possession of marijuana, and transported to the Vigo County Jail.
