Saving and protecting newborns

UNDATED – A proposal for a new law would expand Indiana’s Safe Haven Law to allow a parent in crisis to call 911 and surrender their newborn to emergency medical service providers.

State Reps. Ryan Lauer (R-Columbus) and Randy Frye (R-Greensburg) discuss how this legislation would provide parents an additional, safe option to give up custody of their baby less than 30 days old in order to save young lives.
