SFC Darrell R. Hall

SFC Darrell R. Hall, 66, of Orleans, passed away at 6:31 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

He is the son of Troy and Ethel (Cox) Hall. Both preceded him in death along with one brother, Duane Hall.

Darrell retired from The US Military in 1993 where he served a tour in Desert Storm in 1991. He then went on to retire from the US Postal Service after many years in Bloomington, IN.

He enjoyed playing cards, golfing, riding his motorcycle but mostly going to the casino. He enjoyed any type of basketball, football (Minnesota Vikings), and spending time with family and friends. He was a member of the Mitchell VFW Post 9107 and American Legion Post 250 of Mitchell.

He is survived by his companion of 30 years Velma Hall of Mitchell; daughters Tabitha Hall (Don Cox), Sabrina (Ryan) Pinnick all of French Lick and Nikki Bundy (Joey Bennett) of Mitchell; sons, Darren Hall of U.K., Shane(Tonya) Butler Of Beaverton Or. and R.J Butler of Mitchell; his grandchildren, Damian Hall, Whitney Choate, and Adam Hall all of French Lick, Lee Bundy of Mitchell, Trae, Braiyden and Lillyen Butler all of Sellersburg, IN. and Masen and Aiden Butler of Beaverton Or.; one brother, David (Debbie) Hall of Mitchell; two sisters, Diana Hanson of Bloomington and Donita Skeen of Mitchell; his “favorite” beloved niece Tixie Coffman of Indiana, three nephews Jeremiah and Jesse Skeen of Orleans and Kyle Hall of San Antonio TX and several cousins. 

The funeral will be Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ochs-Tetrick Funeral Home in Orleans with Pastor Thomas Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Orleans with military rites being conducted by the Orleans American Legion Post 69 and Mitchell Post 250
Friends are invited to visitation at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
