SHOALS – A Martin County man was arrested on Saturday on a warrant for rape.
In January 2021, an Indiana State Police detective began an investigation into an allegation of rape involving 33-year-old Waylon Wininger and a female victim.
The investigation resulted in a warrant being issued for Wininger’s arrest.
On Saturday, a Martin County Sheriff’s Department deputy and ISP trooper found Wininger walking on Progress School Road in Martin County and he was arrested without incident on a Level 3 felony charge of rape and transported to the Martin County Jail.
