BLOOMINGTON – A person fell more than 50 feet this afternoon from the rock-cut at the spillway on Valley Mission Road.
The incident was reported at 12:56 p.m.
Responding to the scene was an IU Health Hospital ambulance crew, Monroe County Fire Protection District, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
The person suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to IU Bloomington Hospital for treatment.
