Bedford Middle School 8th Graders Prepare For High School

(BEDFORD) – Bedford Middle School 8th grades will be working with Bedford Middle School and Bedford North Lawrence High School counselors next week selecting classes for their freshman.

There will be an opportunity for parents/guardians/students to meet with the BNL Counseling team at the high school to discuss diploma requirements, how to submit course requests, a brief overview of Advanced Placement, dual credit, and early college opportunities.

Each 8th grader and parent/guardian are invited to the 8th grade Parent Night scheduled for February 23 at 6 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at BNL.

Course request screens for 8th graders will close at 3 p.m. on March 2nd in order for students and families to have plenty of time to make course requests.

Due to the ongoing pandemic, and in order to allow for safe social distancing, it is extremely important that attendance at this event be limited to only the incoming 8th-grade student and the parent(s) of that student. Also, masks must be worn by all attendees at all times.

If you are not comfortable with the in-person parent/guardian night, there will be a video option available. The video will be posted by the end of the day on February 24.
