(UNDATED) – In October the Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology released a new version of the Indiana Archaeological Short Report.
Since that release, we received a few questions on the form and the instructions. To make sure the form is as user friendly as possible, we have made a few tweaks to the form and instructions.
If you downloaded a copy in October, please make sure to download a new copy available at https://www.in.gov/dnr/historic/2812.htm and replace any older version.
Officers are extending the deadline for using the old format (2011 version) until the end of the year. Officials use the date of the report and not the date the report is submitted as the cut off, since they understand primes sometimes hold reports for submission to their office.
If you have questions concerning the use of the Indiana Archaeological Short Report, please do not hesitate in contacting officials.
