
(BEDFORD) – The City of Bedford Planning Department released a monthly report for the month of October. The report shows more than $1.3 million in new residential construction for the period.

In addition, the planning department issued around $358,000 in commercial permits that included inspections. Of those permits, $150,000 in electrical work was done at Walmart and a $200,000 remodeling project was performed at the old Goff Refrigeration building at 1018 16th Street. The building is now owned by Indiana Landmarks.

In addition, the Planning Department issued a certificate of occupancy for the Burkes Outlet store that will be opening on Friday.
