Help Jim Sowders Raise $100K For Agape House

(BEDFORD) – Agape House of Lawrence County provides services for children in our local foster care system.

Amid the nationwide opioid epidemic, children are among the most vulnerable and often displaced by household substance use, domestic violence, and parental incarceration.

Children in the community need your help now more than ever before by investing in the well-being of our youngest citizens. Agape House is committing to a better tomorrow and a bright future for these children. You are invited to be part of this commitment in Lawrence County.

Jim Sowders is running a 100K to raise $100K for the Agape Kids House on October 24th. That’s 62 miles to celebrate him turning 62 this month.

The funds raised will go towards building an emergency transition home for kids in foster care. Any donation will help make an impact.

Be sure to send Jim some good luck as he finishes training for the big event.

“I have been blessed to have a loving home and family, but not all children do,” said Sowders. “The Agape Kids House will provide a much needed loving transitional home for children that too often fall through the cracks. Please join me in this effort. What little pain and monetary funds we go through or expend, is but a fraction of what these kids go through.”

Thanks to all those who have donated towards Jimmy’s Agape Run! We still have a long ways to go, help us reach $100K for Jimmy’s 100K run this Saturday! Donate here: gf.me/u/y27cgu
