Both the City of Bedford and Lawrence County have put in requests for the Community Crossing Grants.

The Bedford Redevelopment Commission has allocated $100,000 for the City of Bedford to match the grant.

Lawrence County Highway Superintendent David Holmes says the funding will not be as much in this grant cycle. The county expects to hear something in November regarding the grant awards.
