(BEDFORD) – Two people were arrested on drug charges Thursday afternoon after a complaint of two intoxicated people.
Bedford Police officers received information that a male and female traveling in a black Buick Lacrosse both appeared to be intoxicated.
Officers located the vehicle parked in the 60 block of N Street with both individuals near it.
The officer approached and spoke to 35-year-old Christopher Stevens, of Ellettsville, and 31-year-old Jessica Hackney, of Bedford.
“During the conversation, they consented to a vehicle search,” said Chief Terry Moore. “Officers located items inside the vehicle and in Hackney’s purse. Those items included methamphetamine, heroin, several loose prescription medications and syringes.”
Both Stevens and Hackney were arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of a narcotic drug, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a legend drug and unlawful possession of a syringe.
