(SPRINGVILLE) – An Oolitic man was injured when he lost control of his motorcycle on Springville Judah Road on Sunday at 12:48 p.m.
According to a Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report, 58-year-old John Boshears, of Oolitic, was traveling southwest on Springville Judah Road near Harrodsburg Road when his 2009 Honda VT750 went off the north side of the road.
Boshears lost control of the motorcycle, drove over a driveway, and struck a ditch, and crashed. He was thrown from the motorcycle.
Boshears was not wearing a helmet.
He complained of lower back, left hip, and left leg pain.
He was transported to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
