
(BEDFORD) – Two Bedford woman were arrested after Bedford Police officers were called to a home in the 1300 block of U Street Saturday after a report of an unresponsive male who had possibly overdosed.

“Officers arrived and were lead upstairs where they began CPR and were told by 61-year-old Phyllis Padgett that the male had received four doses of Narcan prior to the officers arriving,” said Chief Terry Moore. “In the room where the male was lying officers could see various types of drug paraphernalia. The male regained consciousness and a search warrant was requested and granted by the signed on-call judge.”
During the search officers located meth, legend drugs, syringes, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

“Officers also spoke with Julie Borden who was inside the house and read her Miranda warnings,” said Chief Moore. “After answering questions, she was taken into custody as well as Padgett.”
Padgett is facing charges of possession of meth and possession of a legend drug.
Borden, 53, is facing charges of possession of meth, unlawful possession of a syringe, possession of marijuana, possession of a legend drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
