Columbus Woman Arrested On Warrants

(COLUMBUS) – A Columbus woman who reportedly told officers she had been hiding in a Columbus home for over a year due to multiple warrants for her arrest was apprehended early Sunday morning.

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Columbus Police officers responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Sycamore Street after receiving information that 50-year-old Tina L. Tays, of Columbus, was inside the home.

The officers made contact a short time later with Tays who was in an upstairs bedroom. Tays was taken into custody without incident.

While searching two bags that belonged to Tays, the officers located drug paraphernalia along with several pills and tablets that she did not have a prescription for.

Tays was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where she was remanded on charges of possession of a legend drug, possession of a look-a-like substance, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
