Local Airports Awarded Grant Funding For Infrastructure Projects

(UNDATED) – The US Department of Transportation has announced that several area airports will be receiving grant funding for infrastructure projects.

Monroe County will receive $220,000 to install signage at the airport.

French Lick Municipal Airport will received $153,110 to extend a taxiway and expand an apron.

Paoli Municipal Airport will receive $166,666 to improve a fuel farm.

Sullivan County Airport will receive $270,601 to seal runway surfaces

Evansville Regional Airport will receive $2,188,911 to improve a safety area, update a terminal building, and rehabilitate a taxiway.

Terre Haute Regional Airport will receive $50,000 for an airport wildlife assessment program.

Since 2017, the Trump Administration has awarded $13.5 billion dollars to America’s airports to improve infrastructure and safety.
