Two Arrested When Police Serve Arrest Warrant

(BEDFORD) – Two people were arrested Friday night after Bedford Police officers served an arrest warrant.

According to Bedford Assistant Police Chief Joseph DeWees, on October 28, 2019 at 11:42 p.m. officers went to a home in the 500 block of S Street to serve an arrest warrant on 29-year-old Felicia Shirley.

Felicia Shirley

“Officers knocked on the door of the residence and a male answered,” said DeWees. “The officers requested to speak with Felicia Shirley. The male said that he would get her, which he did. The warrant was served. While the door was opened to the house, officers could see and smell evidence of narcotics use.”

Officers entered the house and spoke with the occupants. Officers could also see in plain view several items related to narcotics use.

The occupants gave police permission to search the house.

“During the search and investigation, more narcotics were located,” said DeWees.

Travis Bauer

Police say 39-year-old Travis Bauer was found possessing meth and attempting to destroy the drug.

He was arrested on charges of possession of meth and obstruction of justice.

Shirley was arrested on a failure to appear warrant and new charges of possession of meth in the presence of a minor, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
