Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton Joins Community Leaders For Weekly Press Call

(BLOOMINGTON) – Bloomington Mayor John Hamilton joins other community leaders in a weekly Zoom conference call today from 1:15 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. to share the most recent developments in the coordinated effort to mitigate and manage the COVID-19 crisis.  

Today’s conference will begin with presentations by Dr. Aaron Carroll, M.D., M.S., Professor of Pediatrics and Director of Surveillance and Mitigation for the COVID-19 Pandemic at Indiana University (who will be introduced by IU Assistant Vice President for Strategic Partnerships and IUB COVID Response Unit (CRU) Lead Kirk White); and Dr. Judith DeMuth, Monroe County Community School Corporation Superintendent.

The call will also feature presentations by Mayor Hamilton, Monroe County Commissioners President Julie Thomas, IU Health South Central Region President Brian Shockney, Monroe County Health Department Administrator Penny Caudill, and Monroe County Emergency Management Director Allison Moore.  

Press briefings from the governmental and institutional bodies coordinating the local response to the COVID-19 pandemic will continue weekly on Fridays from 1:15 p.m. until 2 p.m. 

Barring technical difficulties, the conference will be available for your audience and constituents via live stream at the City of Bloomington Facebook page, where they may pose questions that may be relayed to the panelists if time allows.
