2020 Women’s Expo Brings Fun And Excitement

(BEDFORD) – More than 80 vendors participated in the 2020 Women’s Expo, presented by Air Master Heating & Air, on Saturday at the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County.

This year brought some first-time vendors and others who return every year.

“We have sanitizers like no THC based CBD oils and I am just looking forward to meeting people today,” said Susan Waltz, of Nashville. This would make Susan’s first time at the Woman’s Expo.

The first 100 in attendance were given a Woman’s Expo swag bag

Despite the restrictions to keep everyone healthy and safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic, many found it refreshing to get out of the house and shop.

“I come every year,” said Mary Hanks. “I brought my granddaughter along with my great-grandson today. We love the expo.”

Attendees could purchase anything from skincare products, bras, necklaces, earrings, t-shirts, and physical fitness training sessions. Vendors were excited to see the long line of customers who braved the warm temperatures Saturday.

The business climate may be challenging amid the COVID-19 pandemic, but many of the businesses that WBIW spoke with Saturday said they have been marketing their products through online sales.

“This is our first year at the Woman’s Expo, and we sell t-shirts, hats, and anything customized,” said Ashley Mesorah. “Our online sales have done really fine this year and we are happy we are here and hoping for a big crowd today.”

Emily Loveland Queary, of Paoli, said “I am hoping to connect with local women. I am a life coach, I love helping women connect a path to their dreams. I especially love helping a woman find their unique purpose and making money doing it.”

Orange Leaf had a selection of ice cream for those who attended to cool off and enjoy a treat.
