State Police Remove Dozens Of Animals From Sullivan Home

(SULLIVAN) – Indiana State Police and shelter workers removed dozens of animals from a home in Sullivan County.

The Sullivan County Humane Society is caring for 38 animals that were removed from the home after a warrant was issued to seize the animals.

Officials were alerted to the deplorable conditions after neighbors complained.

Officials found some of the animals were starving. Dogs were found in small kennels with open wounds. Some are fighting to survive.

Shelter workers say they’re working to nurse the animals back to health.

Officials say there are more animals on the property they are working to remove.

The case remains under investigation and criminal charges will probably be filed.
