Upcoming City of Bedford Meetings

(BEDFORD) – The upcoming City of Bedford board meetings scheduled for May are listed below.

City of Bedford Redevelopment Commission

The City of Bedford Redevelopment Commission will hold a regular meeting on Monday, May 11 at 4:00 p.m.

In order to maintain the current social distancing requirements, the commission will meet at the City of Bedford Concourse located at 1402 H Street.

The public is invited to attend.

The Redevelopment Commission governing body may impose reasonable restrictions on the number of attendees to keep the required social distancing, 25 people, and 6-foot distance in consideration of the existing COID-19 crisis.

City of Bedford Board of Works and Safety

The City of Bedford Board of Works and Safety meeting will be held on Monday, May 18 at 4:00 p.m.

In order to maintain the current social distancing requirements, the board will meet at the City of Bedford Concourse located at 1402 H Street.

The public is invited to attend.

The governing body may impose reasonable restrictions on the number of attendees to keep the required social distancing, 25 people, and 6-foot distance in consideration of the existing COID-19 crisis.

Bedford City Common Council

The Bedford City Common Council has moved their May 12 regular meeting and a public hearing to Monday, May 18 at 7:00 p.m.

In order to maintain the current social distancing requirements, the City Council meeting will be held in Brinegar Hall at Stonegate Arts & Education Center located at 931 15th Street.

City Council

The City Council will hold the public hearing at 7:00 p.m. regarding the notice of the petition to vacate the street filed by Sigma Steel Inc. President Dean Tackett. The street requested to be vacated is located directly west of an alley which runs north and south between Fifth and Sixth streets and ending at L Street and joins real estate owned by Sigma Steel

The City Council will hold a second public hearing at 7:05 p.m. regarding the preliminary engineering report required to obtain assistance from the Wastewater State Revolving Fund loan program fro the recommended upgrades to the City of Bedford’s Wastewater plant infrastructure.
