(INDIANAPOLIS) – Indiana Women’s Prison and Warden Laurie Johnson are pleased to announce the promotion of Mabel Herrera to Program Coordinator for the Training Department.
Mabel Herrera began her career in the Indiana Department of Correction as a Correctional Officer at Indiana Women’s Prison in August 2019. She has earned an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and is currently working on her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
Warden Johnson commented, “Ms. Herrera is a motivated employee. We are looking forward to watching her continue to grow as a correctional professional.”
When Ms. Herrera was asked what motivates her she commented, “To make a difference in staff and offender’s lives.”
