  • 9:21 p.m. Charles Pursell, 29, 8 Popcorn Rd., possession of marijuana, possession of meth, neglect of a dependent, domestic battery in the presence of a child under the age of 16, illegal possession of a syringe, possession of drug paraphernalia

  • 6:07 a.m. Request for animal control to the 360 block of Clark Smith Road. The caller says when she went to get in her vehicle the neighbor’s dogs attacked her dog and she has vet bills from a previous attack
  • 7:56 a.m. Report of a male walking southbound on the northbound side of the road on State Road 37 near Wesley Chapel Road throwing rocks at vehicles. Police were unable to find the male
  • 9:28 a.m. Agency assist in the 1380 block of South Meridian Road to help look from a missing female juvenile. The caller says she could be at her father’s house or her grandmother’s on Sherwood Road
  • 9:47 a.m. Report of a domestic fight at the corner of 8th and Oak streets. A person is beating a vehicle with a baseball bat. There is a person inside the vehicle9:52 a.m. Report of counterfeit money found at Speedway
  • 12:04 p.m. Follow up investigation at Sipes Branch Road
  • 12:20 p.m. Child custody dispute in the 390 block of Vinegar Hill Road. The father will not return the child. The child went was returned with the mother
  • 12:32 p.m. Domestic fight in the 920 block of Ridgedale Drive. A male was arrested
  • 1:31 p.m. Vandalism in the 110 block of West Warren Street. Someone broke a window at the home. This is a civil issue. 
  • 2:09 p.m. Illegal dumping of two large televisions of trash in the 150 block of Graded Road, east of the church
  • 2:18 p.m. Report of a possible suicidal elderly female in the 590 block of Art Gallery Road. An AMR ambulance responded
  • 2:43 p.m. Report of a traffic hazard in the 6790 block of US 50 West
  • 2:53 p.m. Report of a suspicious vehicle in the 2260 block of Vinegar Hill Road
  • 3:46 p.m. Traffic stop at Lafayette Avenue and Oolitic Road
  • 3:55 p.m. Medical emergency in the 500 block of West Oak Street. The caller needs the fire department to cut a ring off her fiance’s finger
  • 4:26 p.m. Request for animal control to the 1080 block of Hayes Road for dog on the caller’s property that looks near death. The dog was malnourished and lethargic and was taken to the humane society
  • 4:32 p.m. Report of an erratic driver in a blue Jeep southbound on State Road 37 at Trogdon Lane
  • 4:50 p.m. 911 call in the 2510 block of Q Street. It was an accidental call
  • 5:30 p.m. Fire alarm sounding in the 200 block of Silver Lane in Williams. It was a false alarm
  • 5:31 p.m. Follow up investigation on station
  • 7:26 p.m. Medical emergency at Garden Villa. A resident was ill
  • 8 p.m. A body was found in the 420 block of Phillips Lane. A male was found unresponsive. The male died from complications from a surgery
  • 8:55 p.m. Medical emergency in the 1220 block of Elm Park Drive. A female was ill
  • 9:19 p.m. 911 call reporting a domestic fight in the 630 block of V Street. Two people were arrested
  • 10:37 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Art Gallery Road
  • 10:41 p.m. Officers made extra patrols in the 1050 block of Georgia Firetower Road
  • 11:06 p.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Washboard Road

Incidents – April 14

  • 1 a.m. House check in the 300 block of East Frank Street. People were at the vacant home that a tree fell on last week taking items. They then fled in a white truck and a white car
  • 1:57 a.m. Traffic stop at State Road 37 and Yockey Road
  • 2:50 a.m. Alarm sounding in the 1580 block of Wesley Chapel Road. The church was secure
  • 3:13 a.m. Police made extra patrols in the Zelma

  • 11:22 a.m. Property damage accident in the 100 block of North 13th Street in the parking lot of Smoker Friendly
