4-H Animal Exhibitors Reminded To Submit Info By June 1

(BEDFORD) – 4-H animal exhibitors are reminded to submit identification info in 4HOnline by June 1.

All animal exhibitors should have received an email notifying them of the new animal ID deadline for all species.

Lesley Lodmell, Extension Educator 4-H and Youth Development – Lawrence County

“For this year, we will be distributing tags for members to tag their own animal,” said Lesley Lodmell, Extension Educator 4-H and Youth Development – Lawrence County. “We are still working on a process, which will be announced soon. Please stay tuned. We appreciate your flexibility during this time. Once you have all of your animal identification done, be sure you submit it through 4HOnline by June 1. You will also want to be sure you have your Premise ID requested from the Board of Animal Health before then.”

Check out http://bit.ly/LivestockID for full instructions on submitting your information.

Youth for the Quality Care of Animals Certification YQCA Certification will still be required for youth exhibiting beef, dairy, goats, poultry, rabbits, sheep, or swine.

“You are still able to take the online certification, and we will let you know if we have an alternative for the in-person sessions we had to cancel,” said Lodmell.
