(BEDFORD) – More than 53,608 Hoosiers filed for unemployment insurance last week according to the Department of Workforce Development.
The number of initial claims more than doubled from the previous week’s already high numbers.
Officials say those numbers will continue to climb as businesses and companies turn furloughs into layoffs.
