One Airlifted To Trauma Center Following Washington Co. Traffic Accident

(BUNKER HILL) – One person was airlifted to a Louisville hospital following a multi-vehicle accident on State Road 160 at around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday.

The accident occurred on Bunker Hill in eastern Washington County and involved multiple vehicles.

One person was trapped in his vehicle.

The Salem Fire Department extricated the accident victim from the vehicle.

The victim was transported to a landing zone at a nearby church by ambulance and then airlifted to a trauma center in Louisville.

At this time no details of the accident are available, or the number of other patients involved.

Other agencies assisting at the scene included the Washington County Sheriffs Department, Washington County EMS, and Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department. This story will be updated when more information becomes available.
