Bedford Man Arrested after Choking Woman

(BEDFORD) – A Bedford man was arrested on a warrant Saturday on charges of domestic battery.

Devin Sullivan

Police arrested 21-year-old Devin Sullivan, of 1710 Saddler Dr., on charges of criminal confinement, strangulation, battery resulting in bodily injury, and unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle.

According to Bedford Police Chief Terry Moore, the incident happened on March 14th.

A female came to the police station to report that she had been injured by Sullivan. The victim told officers that she was dropping off clothes at Sullivan’s residence but when she arrived she saw Sullivan outside and attempted to leave because she was scared of him.

Sullivan entered her vehicle. She asked him to get out and he wouldn’t. When she attempted to call police Sullivan allegedly took her phone away and began choking her.

Sullivan finally exited the car and returned her phone.

Police sent the report to the Lawrence County Prosecutor’s Office and a warrant was issued for Sullivan’s arrest.
