(ORLEANS) – Orleans Community Schools will host their kindergarten screening on April 3.
Parents of children who will be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 should call Orleans Elementary School at 812-865-2688, ext. 3, to make an appointment.
The school requests that the caller provide the child’s name and or nickname, the child’s date of birth, their gender, and the parents/guardian name, address, and phone number.
The screening is used to explain the skills that will be taught in kindergarten and readiness activities that can be used at home to make sure the child is ready for kindergarten.
At the screening, the parent/guardian must have a copy of the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and Social Security card.
Upon completion of the screening, a conference will be set up to explain the screening results.
