University of Indianapolis Charity Golf Outing Apr. 18

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The University of Indianapolis Student Business Leadership Academy (SBLA) will hold a charity golf outing at Prairie View Golf Club on April 18, 2020, to benefit Christel House International from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is open to members of the public who wish to support Christel House International.  Participants need only register as a golfer and pay an entrance fee of $120, which covers breakfast, lunch, beverages, prizes, and a round of golf.  Golfers can register in advance online at http://golf.uindybiz.com/

Christel House International fights to alleviate childhood poverty through education. With 18 years invested in each child, Christel House transforms lives, breaking the cycle of poverty by providing support for children to succeed throughout their careers.

“We appreciate the continuing support of the University of Indianapolis Student Business Leadership Academy,” said Bart Peterson, President, and CEO of Christel House International. “The SBLA is creating the next generation of business leaders. We salute the hard work and commitment of the SBLA to help children from challenged communities.”

SBLA President Shayla Pyszka says the Student Business Leadership Academy is a unique way for students at the University of Indianapolis School of Business to develop their skills and grow their career networks.

“Students can connect with professionals and their businesses through various events, internships and other personal growth opportunities,” Pyszka said. “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Christel House International, which allows us to give back to the community.”

The annual charity golf outing helps students involved in SBLA to put the University’s motto, “Education for Service,” into practice.  The day will consist of participants playing 18 holes of golf at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel, Ind. Golfers will have access to beverages provided by Sun King Brewery, breakfast, and lunch. They also will have the chance to win various prizes through a silent auction and a raffle ticket drawing. Proceeds will support programs and services for students at Christel House International, a children’s charity with schools around the world and with three schools in Indianapolis.
