“We are extremely grateful to the Lawrence County Community Foundation not only in anything they do for us but for everybody in our community. Handling the endowment, making distributions as they do. We will be able to use this for unrestricted funds. This will allow us to increase our programming and do things for the kids, in ways that we have strict guidelines with other grants. This is just a really good way, that we can do more for the kids,” said Frank Decker of the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence County.

Frank Deckers comments on receiving the check from the Lawrence County Community Foundation.

The Lawrence County Community Foundation was the vision of Steve Braden in 1992 in conjunction with the Lilly Endowment Inc. GIFT Program (Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow).

He brought together others with similar beliefs in local philanthropy and permanent endowments. Together, they created the Lawrence County Community Foundation.
